Mommy may BAKLA sa closet...

Mabuhay!

It's 5:21 am, I woke up at 4:45. I just need to blog about this one. Para matahimik na ako. *tawa*

Before I would usually hear mothers telling their children "Ala, andyan na yung PULIS!" to scare them and to stop them from misbehaving.

Recently I heard a mother telling her child "Ala, kukunin ka ng BAKLA!". And obvoiusly she was pertaining to a gay man because in the Philippines people are called bakla or bading if they're male homosexuals while lesbians are called tibo. Gays are scary? ! Bakit bakla?

Well I admit that when I was younger I was a bit afraid of gays. I was scared of the parlorista type. There was this one incident that happened before, I went to the market with my mom, we passed through this part of the market where a lot of parlors are built, while passing by, a hairdresser grabbed my peepee. Although I was very young at that time, 5 y/o I guess. Maybe because he thought I was cute. But that incident did'nt become a big impact to my emotional being (anu beh?). It was no big deal. Ewan ko ba noong bata talaga ako I was afraid of the parlorista gays maybe because of the way they act, the loud ones. Ngayon wala na.

Sabi nga sa first single ni Chris Crocker "Chris Crockers on the loose- Are you scared yet?". For those who don't know who Chris Crocker is, he is the guy from the very infamous "Leave Britney Alone" video.

The question is, are gays somebody we need to be afraid of? (grabe namang tanong yan, anu sila?, Abu Sayaff?)

Probably a lot would say that gays are scary. Homophobes specifically. Some guys have this stereotypical thought of gays. That gay guys would probably hit on them because they're straight.

Maybe because some had bad experiences from them.
I know this person when he was still in college one time he woke up and saw his gay classmate kissing him. There was this news where in an old gay guy raped a teenage boy. Lastly, there's this quite popular salon where in the owner offers "libre gupit, libre salat". Natawa ako jan. Kasi yung nagsabi sa akin babae. And ofcourse si Micheal J.

Because of this incidents some people are afraid of them.

Meron 'din naman kasing mga ibang lalake who feels superior to them. They think that they're all that because they're tough.

Probably yeah, some gays are scary, with their outrageous sense of style, voice and their personality. Some people limit their selves.
You see, gays now a days come in variety:
Transgendered and cross-dressers -is the state of one's gender identity not matching one's assigned sex.
Straight acting gays - members of guys4men.com, (pare, dude, 'tol!).
Gays with wife and kids - those who are gays but have chosen to marry and have kids.
Markova-ish gays - manay ricky! *tawa*
Bi-sexual - they prefer both sexes. Emo boys. *tawa ulit*
Closeted gays

The important thing is we remain respectful to others.

Para sa atin lahat ito!

We Are Family - Sister Sledge -

bye bye!

nice post tutsi!
although may ibang mga manyak na bading, many of them deserve the right to be treated fairly.

"Homophobia is so GAY!"
